During the month of April, as you all know we are concentrating our blog on Spring Cleaning. And I in my spare time I am also practicing what I preach! But unfortunately I find myself facing a conundrum. There is one place in my house that is....well basically my Kryptonite. When I enter this domain, I get weak, as if all my life force is being sucked out of me! I lose all interest in my spring cleaning tasks , and my only desire is to curl up in the fetal position and hide under my favorite blanket. In fact I find myself keeping at least a three foot distance from the entrance of this room, there is a dark force inside this room and even the thought of entering it makes me want to scream like a schoolgirl! But inevitably I must enter, engage in battle, and conquer this foe.
The monster I must face is my 7 year old son's room! There are sites and smells that in my 41 years on this earth I have never encountered. The task is more than daunting, but I must be strong. So I have researched some of the best and unique organizing tips I could find for a child's room. And with some luck and courage I shall implement some of these great ideas today. Below are some of the best ideas I have found for organizing my son's room.
Bookshelf for Trains!
This first idea must have been custom made for my son! He is a train freak....Trains are like crack to him. I would need at least three of these in order to house all of his trains but this is still a great idea, not only for trains but cars and trucks also!
This is a very easy and really good idea, which makes cleaning up more fun for your child! just simply get some magnetic strips made for knives and hang them up in your child's room.
This again is another idea perfectly suited for my son and me! We both have a very bad addiction to claw machines! Even though it takes longer for us to beg his mom to give us quarters to play said machines, we still have been able to accumulate a very large and impressive Trophy (stuffed animal) collection!
This is my Favorite idea!
Simply take children's sand buckets, (which should be flooding the store's in the summer aisle) and withthe help of a drill and some zip ties you can make this awesome toy organizer!
And if mom's not looking dad and the kids can play a great toy throwing game!
